Friday is here

And I only have a half day. Sweet. I leave for Chicago in a few short hours. We are going to the Cubs-Astros game tomorrow and Clemens is pitching!

OK, I promised some funny or good stuff here. We'll start with this thing on MTV Online, that has a fun interview with Conor Oberst and Mike Mogis along with a performance of "Let's not shit ourselves" and all of the Bright Eyes music videos. It is online at MTV Uber.

Now for something funny, or at least interesting. For those of you that don't visit Media Matters, you really should. It is a Website that basically watches out for all the liars on TV and radio like O'Reilly, Hannity, Rush, Coulter, etc., along with watching politicians and fact checking all of them. They have video and audio and it is great. Some of you may remember last year a guy named Jeremy Glick was on the O'Reilly TV show. O'Reilly completely distorted his words, as he always does, and accuses him of claiming that Bush orchestrated 9-11. You can check out the video on this direct link to the Media Matters story.

Oh, one more thing. Cursive tickets for the 2 shows November 4-5 at Sokol Underground go on sale Saturday morning, I believe at 10 AM. You should be able to get them at Etix or One Percent. Tickets are only $2 with a $1 service charge!!!
