It has been a very long week and I'm glad it's almost over. Last night most of you missed a very good show - Eric Bachmann played at Sokol and it was outstanding. There is a good show tonight as well - Two Gallants. Sunday Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins are playing, but I don't know if I'll make it to that one. Saturday Dave Stull and Jenny Bos are getting married, but I think some of us will be ducking out during the reception because the Huskers play Saturday night as well.
I've been thinking about what I should post for my Friday laughs. One thing I wanted to post is the White House Correspondents Dinner hosted by Stephen Colbert. After talking to Brandon Hillman and Katie Kasher at the show last night, I decided this is definitely what I want to post. The video is 24 minutes long, but it's worth every second. Colbert absolutely busts on Bush and all his boys, and Bush is clearly not impressed. Jon Stewart described it as "The White House thought they hired Stephen Colbert of 'The Colbert Report', but instead they got Stephen Colbert." You should take a break sometime today to watch this.
