College Picks for Saturday, 11/19

4-1 the last 2 weeks, I'm starting to feel a little pressure. I'm not going to go 80% this week, but if I do it will be a great day. Normally I put 3 or 5 games out here but I couldn't decide on a 5th game. So we'll go with 7 games and put a BET THIS GAME on all of them. Here we go...

1 Maryland +2` Over BC - Maryland is doing what they do every year. The start off slow, and at the end of the year start playing their best football. Maryland has played far better this year than their scores indicate, BC doesn't play quite as well on the road as they do at home, and Maryland gets it done by 2 TD's as a dog.

2 Kansas St -1` Over Mizzou - I put 1` because that's the line I had. But I've seen the line at 3 this AM. Which means I'm not the only one on KSU's side here, which more often than not is a good thing. Coach Snyder's last game will be a big boost for his team, and a Mizzou team that is terrible on the road will struggle, with KSU winning by at least a TD.

3 Baylor -2` Over OK St - There is not a more overvalued team in the country than OK St. They have played well the last 2 games, but they are not over the hump yet. Baylor has played a backup QB the last 2 weeks as an experiment, and it hasn't worked, getting their asses kicked in both. Late in the game last week they brought in their real QB, Bell, in the 2nd half and they scored 16, and Bell is starting today. I take Baylor's defense, home field, and great line values because of OSU being overrated and Baylor underrated because of the QB.

4 Utah St +9` Over Nevada - I expect a straight up win by a near DD home dog. Nevada is simply terrible on the road, despite winning last week. Utah St has been up and down but has been mostly solid at home.

5 North Carolina -21` Over Duke - Duke is somewhere around 110th in the country. They never even cover. NC has been so good all year with a couple exceptions, delivering us some great covers. This line was 24 earlier in the week, and Phil Steele (top Handicapper) said Monday to get this one early before it goes to 4 TD's. Somehow it went down to 21`, so I jump all over that.

6 Oklahoma +7` Over Tex Tech - Has OU dropped this far? 2 months ago yes. Now, no. TT can be stopped, and Stoops always does. Adrian Peterson will have a field day, shortening the game with the run game, and wearing down TT in a straight up road win for OU.

7 Alabama +7 Over Auburn - The Iron Bowl, one of the best rivalries in college football. This top rivalries is always close, and these points are too high. Alabama lost last week for the first time and Auburn got a great win at Georgia. Alabama will not have a letdown after seeing the National Title chance go out the window because of this rivalry, and I think Alabama is a better team, uses their top 5 defense to grind out a tough win at Auburn. This should be a fantastic game.

There it is, everyone. Let's see how we do. Go JAYS!
